Mary Franklin-Brown combines an enviable scholarly record with acute administrative instincts. As a teacher in the field of medieval studies, she has shown a unique ability to impart her passion and erudition to students. As Director of Undergraduate Studies, she has refigured the department’s study abroad program in Montpellier, France; designed a new internship course that helps students develop careers; and proposed the creation of three new gateway courses to help recruit French majors.
